Case 9: A Patient with Acute‐Onset Shoulder Pain
CASE
A 45‐year‐old builder presents with acute onset pain in the right shoulder 5 days after an inoculation against yellow fever. There is nothing to find on examination and he is treated with analgesics. The pain subsides over a couple of weeks. Four weeks later he becomes aware that he is having difficulty using a screwdriver and that some of the muscles in his right hand appear to have thinned.
