CASE
A 67‐year‐old woman, who has not previously been a headache sufferer, presents with a 4‐week history of poorly localized headache. She had been sleeping poorly of late and admitted to feeling low in mood, with generally reduced energy levels and loss of appetite. Physical examination was normal. Her GP treated her with amitriptiline. Two weeks later her headache was slightly worse and she presented to A&E with sudden painless loss of vision in her left eye.
