Case 42: A Patient with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and a Tremor
CASE
A 19‐year‐old university student fails her first year exams despite having a strong academic record at high school. Over the preceding year she has developed features of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) with frequent hand washing and other ritualistic behaviours. She is referred to a neurologist when she is noticed to have a tremor. On examination she has evidence of dystonia around the mouth (intermittent lip curling and snarling and mild drooling of saliva).
