Case 22: A Patient with Memory Difficulties
CASE
A 51‐year‐old senior solicitor consults a neurologist because he is concerned about his memory. He frequently forgets the names of his junior colleagues and becomes flustered in meetings. His mother died of Alzheimer's disease at the unusually young age of 55 years. On examination there are no physical abnormalities and the mini mental state examination (MMSE) score is 28/30. The patient was highly anxious during the consultation.
