CASE
A 64‐year‐old man with a diagnosis of prostate cancer has known bony metastasis which have been recently investigated with an MRI and bone scan. His main problem is of back pain. He currently takes regular paracetamol, diclofenac and codeine. You have decided to commence oral morphine for his pain control. His family is concerned as they have heard that morphine is dangerous.
