Case 26: A Patient with Severe Bruising
CASE
A 78‐year‐old man presents to A&E with severe bruising. Bruising started one month ago. In the past he has had several operations without any problems. His father died of a haemorrhagic stroke at the age of 63 years. He has peripheral claudication for which he takes aspirin 75 mg once a day. There is no other significant past medical history. His PT is 12.0 sec (10–14) and APTT 65 sec (26–34).
