CASE
A 47‐year‐old construction worker was brought to hospital by his family. Five days previously he had begun to behave oddly, and his answers to questions had become increasingly muddled and confused. He had complained of a sore throat and a mild headache. He was taking no medication and had been previously well. He drinks around 70 units of alcohol a week.
