CASE
A 56‐year‐old man with hypertension presents to his GP two months after starting on an ACE inhibitor. He has had several episodes of recurrent lip swelling, most of which have occurred overnight. On this occasion his upper lip, left side of his tongue and left jaw were swollen. He was afraid that the swelling might affect his throat, although he had had no difficulty swallowing or breathing with his attacks.
