Case 2: A Patient with a Painful Red Eye, Aching Joints and Nosebleeds
CASE
A woman aged 50 years presents with a painful red right eye. The pain had increased over several days, is worse on eye movement and has prevented sleep for the past two nights. The vision is normal. She has been tired, short of breath, with aching joints and has had nosebleeds over the last month with aching over the bridge of her nose. The eye coat is red over several clock‐hours with a dark brawny appearance. General examination shows hypertension and bilateral ankle oedema.
