Case 12: A Patient with Angina and Raised Blood Pressure
CASE
A 67‐year‐old man who is known to have well controlled angina, albeit well, was recently noted by his GP to be slightly hypertensive despite treatment. He takes bendrofluazide 2.5 mg od, atenolol 50 mg od and ramipril 5 mg bd as well as aspirin 75 mg od. His BP has been found to be 160/95 mmHg on several occasions and it is decided to add further antihypertensive therapy.
